I would like to get some nice fancy gear for running in the cold. Any suggestions. Thanks - Coach Tief http://www.tips4running.com/

Well I'm not sure it's going to be fancy but for a base layer you need a lightweight wicking long sleeve top, Thick socks and lightweight gloves(mittens are better) For the second layer a thermal long sleeve top would be good to keep you warm and then if really cold a jacket but not a heavy jacket.

I don't wear fancy running gear for the cold bc it's all about the shoe.
I don't have the armour all coat or dri-fit etc--but I did invest in a coat that sweeps the moisture offf my body to keep me dry but I do not own ''one'' official running gear stuff, find I just wear what's comfy works. It certainly doesn't decrease my running performance, aside from an ouch on the pocket book, I find just regular clothes work.Today, it was -19 out and I just had plain ol' leggings, a tacky long sleeve shirt, my fleece hat and mitts and my good coat-

Ready made clothes. The only problem I've found is that a size eight dress always seems to be a little tight around the chest and shoulders but other than that everything is fine.

I have some adddidas skins, gore-tex trail shoes and windjacket, underneath I wear a breathable running shirt and I stay nice an toasty without getting overheated. The stuff was expensive, but it works.
