I'm 13 in 7th grade and cycling's my main sport but I want to start getting into running and maybe later start doing some triathlons. Do you guys have any advice for getting started in running? like breathing techniques and stuff like taht?

You'll probably take right to running since you've been cycling. Cycling can greatly improve your running. Just keep in mind that running takes away from your cycling by about 5%.

Running is a lot harder on your body than cycling is. You may not be able to go all out running like you might with cycling. Although it really depends on your overall fitness.

Breathing between cycling and running imo its about the same. Just keep it even and as 'comfortable and normal' as you can keep it.

Well i would guess you're doing long distance running..

start running and increase you're distance gradually but not too quickly. Try to make speed workouts too. The breathing will get better as you run. Try to keep you're hand close to you're chest and to use a good pair of running shoes. They are very important

basically you just have to run, start off with jogs and stuff like that, and work your way up. find out about your schools track team or cross country team. hope everything works out! good luck! - emily

runnings a natural thing. you shouldnt think about it. just do it. if you think about your breathing too much, youll end up hyperventilating or something lol. just run and breathe normal.
